Chasis Dyno

My local Porsche shop just got a chasis dyno. What is the difference between a chasis and regular dyno, which is more accurate, and why. Thankls just curious. Powertech usually gets the best test equipment.

All dynos where your car is bound to something and HP etc... is measured from wheels are chassis dynos...The other type is an engine dyno where they dyno your engine only (not on the car) like they use at the P factory and others. I think Brabus has one on their website
Of course I am no expert on this...

Chasis Dyno

Powertech in Rockaway NJ just bought what he described as a chasis dyno. I do not know the name I will get more specifics later. I thought he said it actually bolts to the wheel bolts by taking off the tires?? which is more accurate since there is no tire slippage. I have been talking to him about upsolute and it looks like he is going to be a dealer. So he wants to do some testing to verify all the claims are real before he agrees to become a dealer.
