Warm start problems

'03 X50 with about 10K miles. The car starts with no problems after sitting overnight. After the car is driven for a bit and is warm, it has problems starting up again. For example, if I drive to lunch and the car sits for only an hour or so, it's hard to start up again.

The battery/starter turn the motor ok, but it just has a hard time catching. Sometimes it won't catch at all, sometimes it will barely catch and run at about 300rpms until I give it some gas and then it sputters and comes to life. Once it fully catches, it runs fine and doesn't stumble at all on acceleration. Stock ECU at this point. Any ideas? Should I replace the plugs? I don't know what it has in there now, but it would be whatever was stock on an '03 X50.

I'm on my second dealer visit for this problem and two separate dealers have said they can't find any problems.

Mark

The dealer checked the codes and found nothing. MAF has never been cleaned or replaced.

I just had a vacuum hose replaced but my symptoms were rough idle after sitting - once it warmed up it was fine. Have the dealer pressurize the intake and try to find a leaking hose. Other thing would be to check your fuel filter. Good luck.
