Who flashed your car?

 

My car was flashed at Lucent. Great guys, with a great company.

 

The stage 3 file is the same as the stage 4 file. The only difference in the two stages is headers

I assumed they were different files. How much hp do you think the headers will generally add?

I was told by a respectable turbo builder that headers do not produce Hp.. .they just improve flow... its all about velocity.

Evo claims added hp. I cannot say either way, BUT there is a differrence in spool up time. I never did a before and after dyno on the headers.

I understand and Im not disputing the claims... but headers do not add 50 HP... at least I dont think so. satge 4 also has the V flow.. stage 3 does not.
The ecu should be tuned with these add ons... so someone is wrong here... cause on evoms.com it says satge 3 ecu and stage 4 ecu...

 

Stage 3 use to be different when Pierre had it. We use to limit boost and timing with level 3.

Headers do add a little HP, not much. Most of the gains come from faster spool time and added TQ.

It is all relative. In a 700 or 800 package the gains are huge because so is the restriction. So it is how you apply it that makes the difference
