I know they are not OEM but I am looking for some good quality ones for my ride. Besides Ebay is there anyother sites which offer them?

Used... Even if not OEM Porsche went after EVERYONE selling crests and threatened to sue, don't think anyone is left selling them, if they are, they won't be for long

Dumb question - What would anyone want a silver hood crest?

Because it goes better with a silver/gray car. If the hood crest is the only thing gold on your car, then it won't look as good as a silver one if you are trying to coordinate.
Alan, how are you liking the turbo? Which wheels are you going to get?

Hey Griza, Love the turbo. Just got a few more mods recently. Evo Intake, C/F sways. Looking into getting either champion, Kenesis or HRE's next for the ride. I have a few guys interested in the wheels and if they don't sell i will keep them as they match my wifes wheels, which is kind of cool. We should try and meet up sometime.... I would love to get a ride in your beast!

The silver crest is alot cleaner looking on an arctic silver car. Just my opinion though.

any luck on the silver crest? i completely agree that on an Arctic Silver car it is a much better/cleaner look!

bumperplugs.com has one for $139 with the gaskets (rather than the cheap 3M tape ones on ebay)

i would prefer a silver hood crest on my car too but $139 is a bit steep!

any idea where to find the small crest for the steering wheel in silver??? i bought one on ebay and it turned out to be too large

PM Arling at Lucent. Got a good price for the hood crest. As for the steering wheel, I think it is best to get an original part in silver opposed to having a stick on part in the event of an airbag deployment. Keep in mind that the afttermarket crest could become a projectile. Hope no one ever has to experience that, but it could happen. Just my thoughts, since I thought about the airbag crest also.

Is there an OEM Steering Wheel Crest available in silver? I guess you would buy the complete airbag cover portion of the wheel? Any idea of the cost? Part number? etc.?

Thanks for the other info!

I know the OEM airbag cover with silver crest is extremely expensive since you have to buy a new airbag. This is the main reason I could not justify cost. I left mine gold, but do have the silver hood crest. Best of luck and PM Arling about the airbag cover and hood crest.
