I was just curious if there were any places to look for a 993 GT2. I heard that this car was one of the most visceral porsches ever built, but not much more than that. Any info? Were they legal in america?

...

I saw one last year. It was dark red, the color that the 996s don´t have, had beautiful spoked rims and a black interior. The car looked absolutely amazing! And yes, I do live in Europe.

Perhaps looking to buy one. I am not sure since there will be such a problem bringing these things to America-I heard that they were illegal in america?

On the other hand, I hate the new Turbos and GT2. I just think they are
1) too much of a car for me
2) too wide
3) too much money needed to make it the hottest one
4) i am beginning to like older cars for their distinguishing looks and the type of reputaiton that comes with a classic car-respect and knowledge that you are a connosieur of these cars- as long as you respect the car and treat it like you treat your lady.

You're going to spend a lot of $$$$$ on a 993 GT2. If you're thinking about modifying it to be the "hottest one", you're going to spend even more. Look at the one in the link...it's 190K and a 1995. For the money, you're much better off getting a 930 or 993TT and going nuts.

"Hate" is such a strong word! Are you sure about that? Reasons 1, 2 and 3 dont justify "hate" IMHO.
