Oh it's still in retirement... well actually a few lil bits like cams, ic's, pistons blah blah More focused on other folks' cars than mine tho! Got a GT640 a GT700 on both racks that we're finishing and then we're doing two GT700s with full motor builds as well so....

lol that fool? Tell him if and when he breaks into the MID 11s I'll bother running his hunk of junk. If he breaks into the 10s well **** I might even use 100 octane AND more than 16 PSI... No for me on Santana Row on Saturday. Car should be running in a week or two I think. Plus I've gotta get these two GT cars done Oh and any spare time will be on our white 996 too...

Congrats again...and again

If a modded TT is a beast, then your 7500 RPM monster should be the beastmaster.

Quote: But with all this talk of not being able to dyno tune the car... What about pulling the engine and using an engine dyno...
Quote: It is a pain, but the "right"/"best" way to tune the car IMO... No guess work, no correction factors, no slipping, just pure facts! They are pulling a 997TT motor out in Germany and it will be going on the engine dyno next week to start programing I can't wait!
First, the baseline program I am using was developed on a dyno, specifically for the turbos I am using, over the course of several weeks.

Second, EVOMS/Todd has ample experience tuning cars using data logging during actual driving. EVOMS' numbers speak for themselves. How many 10 second 996TTs has FVD created with its vaulted engine dyno?

Third, if an engine is tuned on a dyno, data logging is still the means by which the fine tuning is determined. The only difference here is that the data logging is not taking place on the dyno, but rather, during real world driving. The same data is acquired and used to do the tuning.

Finally, out of respect to you, Evan, I will not disclose the details of my personal experience with FVD's purported program development methods, and the conflicting information that I received from FVD on this issue. Suffice it to say that I previously had several FVD programs in my car, and I will NEVER use a FVD program again. Please do not belabor this issue and compel me to elaborate with details that disparage FVD.
