Congratulations!! So you guys have acquired an engine dyno recently in Germany?

I know that up until very recently, RS Tuning was doing most your development work for European packages at least, so you are now doing yourselves the tuning?

On the other hand, I know for a fact that RS Tuning engine dyno is busy this/next week, so if they are the ones testing your 997TT engine, it might be a bit later

I agree with you concering the engine dyno being the only way to get the right efficiency for whatever engine. Road testing and calibration are absolutely needed as well, none can replace the other, unless you decide to keep efficiency on the table and try to offset it with more boost and less reliability and performance.

To each his own however, and it certainly boils down to personal choices.

Craig, it seems like you had a very poor experience with FVD, it is very unfortunate, I am sure you will have forgotten about it in a couple of days though Congrats on your engine and looking forward to hear more about it.
Cheers

Craig, as I said in my PM do not take my post the wrong way... I did not mean your/EVO's way of doing it was WRONG, I was simply curious why you did not go the engine dyno route. I have the upmost respect for you and Todd! Can't wait to see what kind of performance it pumps out!

Jean: I am not sure which one we are using now and days, but we are doing our own programing. I believe RS did some of our earlier car programing awhile back, but we have had in house programing for awhile (we just use other dynos (including RS's)).
Evan
PS- I don't want to threadjack this one any more, any more questions or comments for me, please shoot me a PM (or if you want to keep it public, no problem just start a new thread ). Sorry Craig was just trying to ask a simple question gone wrong !

Evan,

Because of my general desire to avoid conflict, I have bit my tongue for over three years and declined to publicly disclose the details of my prior dealings with FVD -- details that would be profoundly disparaging to FVD on many different levels. Please do not continue to push the issue because, if you do, I may lose my temper and post FACTS that FVD would undoubtedly prefer to remain private. You claim that FVD has recently cleaned house and terminated most of the people that were in Florida three years ago. I certainly hope so. Lets let sleeping dogs lie and refrain from a protracted dialogue that will inevitably work to FVD's disadvantage.

For the record, you had no involvement with my prior dealings with FVD and, therefore, my comments regarding FVD are not directed at you in any way, shape or form.

Regards,

Craig

Im going to say that I was very well taken care by FVD for the last 4 years...
Im aware of Craigs dealings with FVd... and I understand his discontent...
I must say that I was told inflated facts about my soon to be bought tuning kits at certain times... and they were not FVD. They did clean house ..Im aware of that... and FVD still takes care of me well and they went many times out of the way to help. They even took me in for the weekend and I didnt even spend a penny.
All Im going to say is when ur buying tuning kits... ask many questions.. and dont ask the tuners only... ask the customers that have the set up.... I wish I knew back then what I know now.
sorry but I went off on a tangent... I just wanted to share my general few on this tuning thing.I found hidden facts in both the US tuners and the German ones.... Seems like tuners use words like "race", hybrid".. etc to spice up the tuning kit... as in my case.
Craig, this is strictly my opinion and Im not refuting ur experience with FVD. But I had a similar experience with a US tuner... I chose not to share it just like u.

Good news: EVOMS thinks they have solved the most recent issue (broken cam sensor). If all goes as planned, I will pick up the car sometime next week.

Evan, Im sorry about my caustic comments. I was in a very bad mood last night due to the new set back, and I came on a bit strong. I apologize.

Alex, thanks for your support.

Joe, what are you having done at EVOMS?

Everyone else, thanks for the kind words!!!

Craig
