You have two options, springs or coilovers. With springs you will scarifice ride quality but get the look. Spings will run you around 300 plus the labor to have them installed which will be about $800 to $1000. Coilovers allow you more flexibilty and much better ride quality but are also more expensive. Coilovers will run you between 2300 and 3500 depending which company you go with. The labor for coilovers will be the same about a $1000.00 installed. I would never put just springs on a turbo but that just my two cents.

In addition to the above, Porsche offers two options:

1. ROW Suspension - This is the suspension that is installed on a stock Turbo sold outside the US. It is 20mm lower in the front and 10mm lower in the rear. It is a bit siffer than stock but still is a great daily driver. It costs about $1850 for the parts and another $800 to install it.

2. X73 Sport Suspension - This is much stiffer than stock and lowers the car 20mm all around. It is about $2650 for the parts and another $800 to install it.

Then you have many aftermarket coil-over options.

You can check some of these out at the www.carnewal.com website.

Roy

ps. Here's a pick of a Turbo with ROW:

Do a search also on this forum....
I had H&R springs on my 01 TT and found the ride too harsh and the car too low...
On my 03 I opted for PSS-9 coilovers which I am very pleased with. Do a search with "msindi bilstein impressions"
Also, I always argue that the labor cost + realignment is the same (a hefty sum too) whether you do springs or coilovers so the latter makes it more worthwhile.

First of all, this forum is absolutelly great . I new to the forum and to porsches (few months old 03 turbo, gently being broken in). My questions: 1. recommended places to have suspension mods done? 2. any concerns with warranty ? 3. can some of them be done at porsche dealers (ROW, X73) to keep warranty?
thanks! jose

Jose,
Warranty really all depends on the individual dealer and the relationship you have with them. My delaer is cool as he knows that changing your suspension should not blow your engine or mess up your tranny....Other dealers will void your warranty for changing your speakers (joke of course) and so it varies a lot!!
However, since the ROW and X73 are OEM parts there hsould not be a reason that they void your warranty...

check out the JIC coilovers. Comfortable ride, 14 way adjusts, good handling.

X73 here, all factory parts, dealer installed, no problem for warranty.

Can a Turbo be ordered with the X73 installed from the factory?

No it can't, the U.S. Turbos come here with U.S. spec and connot be ordered with ROW or X73, you have to add it after.
