The S Car Go Racing carbon fiber intakes are superior to any intake presently available. Other tuners have discovered their advantages and have been incorporating them into their kits. These carbon fiber intakes are larger, smoother and reduce the engine compartment heat that can be absorbed by the aluminum and rubber hose intakes. There are no ribs like the rubber hose and they are not a heat sink like aluminum. In addition they are larger.

Not quite Sean....they use the same housing, but the inner workings are re-done....the Ruf 520 hp variant does use the exact same turbo however

here is a comparison pic for the Ruf 550 turbo

Colorchange,

You can contact Rob at S Car Go Racing as to pricing. Their website is www.scargoracing.com . Their phone number is 415-485-6026. I believe By Design also sells them. I believe EVOMS is using them in some applications also.

Chad,

I have to disagree with you there. S-Car-Go's intake may look the best to some, but I don't think it is superior to the Wilber/Protomotive intake design.

I don't know how you define best, but I don't think you can prove that your intake flows more than mine.

Personally, my next Porsche will be designed by Wilber, his fabrication team and his engineering partners. I wish you guys could all have a conversation with him and see some of his crazy ideas. Hell, even Todd @ EVO has fun chatting with him.

Wilber and Protomotive just know how to build fast Porsches, plain and simple. The results speak for themselves...

Please elaborate on your intake design. I have never seen any pictures or proof that it is better. I am very curious to see it or is it a secret?

It basically takes out the factory airbox and creates a direct ram air system from the fender air scoops. The intake tract goes directly into the turbo system. Also, the Y pipe is a bit different too.

It is a $5000 system from Protomotive. Definitely a great upgrade.
