Evo vs RUF
Ruf is the best if you want conservative, reliable power. It is truly the iron fist in the velvet glove.
Mine is for crazy ****ers who want to throw flames and don't care if the exhaust or turbos are LOUD. It is a baseball bat with spikes all over it.

Tyson,
I have to agree with you. Protomotive has taken a different approach. The air is drawn from under the fenders and the air box is removed. The system is very short. This is very, very efficient. The reason I didn't go that route was all the turbo noise you induce into the cabin. To be frank, when I made the statement I wasn't even thinking of the Protomotive system.
Not taking a thing away from the Protomotive system, the S Car Go system still really flows very cool air.
I believe everyone is in for a really big surprise when Killer Angel's numbers are revealed.

sporters78,
Heat is energy and energy makes the turbo impellers spin. I understand approx. one third of the combustion engine's energy is lost through exhaust heat. All you have to do is watch a glowing red header on a dyno to see it for yourself. The exhaust wrap helps keep the heat energy in the exhaust forcing more of it through the impellers. The result is a quicker response and more power delivered to the rear wheels.
You can get the wrap from Thermo Tec www.thermotec.com . Buy the two inch wide carbon black wrap (two boxes). This way you do not have to paint after the install. You also will need a box of stainless steel straps. The above can be bought for about seventy dollars. It is easier to install with the headers off. However, if the car is up on a lift it can be installed with the headers in place. I would allow 1-3 hours install time depending on how you do it.
A down side of wrap is on thin wall headers (18 gauge and higher) and non stainless steel headers, the wrap can accelerate corrosion of the headers when they are exposed to a wet/salt enviroment. My understanding is you could lose 10-15% of the life of the header (if not stainless steel and 16gauge). If you do get a header, the thicker wall is also advantageous as it hold the heat better to start.
In my opinion, this mod is the best power available for the dollar spent. You will also discover the engine compartment remains far cooler. My fan hardly comes on any more after the car has been run and then parked.

who is killer angel?
Hamman7
That sounds really cool. Do you use 2 MAF's or put one on the pressure side? How do you set up the diverter valves or do you use a BOV before the MAF on the pressure side?
sporters78
thermal wrap keeps heat out of engine compartment = cooler air = more HP and it keeps exhaust gases hotter = faster gas = quicker turbo spin-up

We use twin Blitz blow off valves. The MAF is also relocated and the entire ECU is reprogrammed as a result.
