intercoolers

I see that EVOMS has there new intercoolers... just wondering what are the inlet and exhaust diameters??? Since flow is critical in turbo cars.. just think of it as a water hose.. if you have a kink in the hose the flow is deminished.... does anybody know the flow rate thru them??? Just curious to hear anything about them???

I saw them in person on Friday. They are very impressive looking. The end tanks are cast aluminum and very clean inside and out. The photo on EVOMS' website does not begin to do them justice.

All I can say is taht this is by far one of the most important upgrade overlooked... the gt2 ICs dont do justice.
Thats why I opted to go my custom ones as well... especially after seeing my evo8 gain 35 whp with the custom aftermarket IC.

At what level would these have an effect. Stock car stage 1, 2, ? ie when to go with them or is it like the header thing not much reason until say over 600hp? Better for cars used alot at the track?

It's hard to figure out how effective intercoolers are on a dyno since it's not possible to correctly duplicate airflow at speeds. Larger intercoolers, much like larger brakes, are better at handling long periods of heat cycles (extended full throttle appliication).

It seems that my TT never sees anything more than bursts of speed. It's just too fast for the street. A few seconds of full throttle and you're going 90+ on city streets... I'm pretty sure the stock X50 intercoolers are probably adequate for my needs.

I will say that the EVO pieces look great and may produce produce some extra power even in light use applications simply due to less restriction.
