Im not sure if it would have been better with a good launch though.
A better launch wouldn't have helped as much as not hitting your rev limiter.

Whats up with the Dyno curves? Seriously wierd horsepower output! It goes up and way down and back up. You need to have it tuned again. I think your Turbo is trying to draw boobies on the dyno graph!

Not sure about your mods nor do I have experience with a 996 Turbo. However I have seen similar problems with other turbocharged cars. The turbos may be pushing the limits and the a/f or timing may be off. The car could be pulling timing when it sees too much boost or some knocking, the reason for the dip. Once the timing is pulled the cars goes back to normal and power goes back up but takes a plunge again when timing is pulled.

Here is my Dyno with about same mods: evo stage 2, V-flow, DV, Ruf exhaust. This was done by Dyno Dynamic and with no fans point to intercooler. So the number is really low. Your number is about right from 2 wheels dyno, But just compare the shape of the graph with mine, EVO site graph and yours. Your HP and TQ drop a lot after 5K??

Yeah, I just looked at mine and I do not have the camel-back hump (boobie curve as referred to earlier) in the HP and mine does not die st 5K rpm...think maybe some fine tuning to the program is in order.

I regularly see 1.2 bar and occasionally 1.3 bar on my boost gauge . The car seems really fast.
BTW, the dyno says "flywheel hp" but i was told it should say "wheel hp"
19PSI is not correct. Did someone adjust the wastegates? The ECU is only calibrated to run 1.0 - 1.1 bar MAX. The dip in TQ and HP is most likely due to an over boost. The power will most likely stay the same at 1.0 bar as the turbos become inefficient much past that and generate too much heat thus causing a dip in power. Let me know

There is defintely SOMETHING happeing at 4800 RPM. Either overboost, or maybe the computer is falling into limp mode (not enough cooling on the dyno)?

The shape of my graph looks pretty similar to EVO's.

Exactly! I felt my turbo's were being overworked with straight pipe's and the v flow, almost going up to 1.2 bar sometimes, felt like the throttle response and power just cut off, realized that it was way too much on the stockers!

Took the straight pipes off, steady .9-1.0 sometimes and it felt 100x different!!

Thx for posting Todd. I dont think the wastegates were adjusted. The work and dyno was done in Connecticut at a place called "The Shop". The ecu was shipped to evoms. I will be bringing it in soon .
