I have mine set up for road course enjoyment and she will probably never see a drag strip. She has all of the Evoms bolt on mods and makes great power. It's the delivery that I am not totally satisfied with. The power is too on/off and there is considerable lag coming out of corners. If I am following a well set up n/a car exiting the corners especially up hill, they will pull away from me as my foot is flat on the floor, then boost hits and BAM you have to be careful if its not pointed perfectly straight. Fun, but I need more low end power and a more linear response.
I was thinking the GT 640 turbos, rods, valves and porting/polishing would help improve this. I guess I need to talk to Todd and get my car to AZ.

I was very impressed to see you went straight to the serious motor mods, no messing around! I can't wait to see some time slips.

I think that a modded GT2 with a 640/700 kit is the ultimate performance car; while there are obviously other cars that can beat it in a single category (and not by much) The modded GT2 is the best overall combination of power, handling, braking, exclusivity, looks and the "exotic" factor.
Nice! Considering the temps that would translate to at least 660 RWHP!
Here's my predictions for trapspeeds on Friday night, 139 to 141 MPH!

Spend the money on strength first like the rods, pistons, head studs, head gaskets etc.... I'll post pix in a bit for you
The GT700 is going to spool light years ahead of what you have now. I doubt you'll be worried about lag anymore that's for sure.PS OK get some cams:P

Went to the dragstrip tonight....
Got rained out
I'm going to try again tomorrow.
I did have some fun on the way there and back with Luis993 and GemballaGTR on the freeway though
