New guy.....38 hr. trip in my new turbo
Hello everyone,
My name is Javier, I just pulled the trigger on a '01 TT stage 2. Bought it from Jim C. in Libertyville, Ill.. I was going to have the car shipped, but once there decided to drive it back home to Stockton, Ca. What an awesome experience that was. Just me and my Valentine........."one".
Left Libertyville tuesday at 12 noon Pacific time and arrived home at 2 am thursday. Traveled a total of 2118 mi. Lodged in Grand Island Neb. tuesday night for 9 hrs. and spent the rest of the time driving fueling and eating. It seems that I traveled an avg. of 305 mi. between gas tanks. My top speed was 147 mph outside of Salt Lake. Many construction sites along the way on I-80 (slowed me down). Here's the break down.....
Travel to Chicago.............................. $300.60
Purchase of vehicle............................ $68500.00
Cost of fuel....................................... $299.72
Lodging and meals.............................. $118.35
Speeding tickets.................................$000.00
Driving across this wonderful country in a Porsche.........PRICELESS!!!
Thanks to Sol at Perfect Power for his assistance. Well it's been nice reading many of these posts look forward to many more. I got to go check into an energy drink rehab center now.
P.S. I'm not sure how to post pictures. When I clicked "insert image" it asked for the URL of my image. I have HP Image Zone and I didn't see a URL. Any help will be appreciated. I know how you guys are about pictures.
