Wastgate springs How Much?

What should it cost to upgrade wastgate springs on a stock K16? I'm told that along with the ECU upgrade its a good idea. I'm sure it is but at what cost???
Any help...
JB

I got the EVO complete unit and I think entire job was about $600. Very noticiable difference.

I know that there is a considerable diference on K24's. Is it as much of a difference in the k16's?

I was worth it to my buddy with an X50. I would try to find out from Evo or IA if the difference is as noticable with the k16's as it is with the 24's.

I doubt for the K16's and someone with stg 2+ (evo intake, headers or w/e) where airflow is already maxing out the K16's, that it would be helping the car rather then hurting! I feel 1.0 bar is the max for this car to be pulling, my car with straight pipes was producing 1.1 bar of boost but wasnt pulling that hard, went backt o fvd exhaust and no cats and it wa spulling a steady 1.0 bar, the power difference and pull was night and day, K16's overwork after 1.0 bar!

Basically in short, not worth it for K16's with tuning and every bolt on!

not on ur k16s.. u will just over heat them and spin them to hell. hot air is less HP
u will have a heck of a time setting them up on k16s... whast the use of putting 1 bar springs when k16s peak at 1 bar...
a 1 bar spring means that it opens the flap at one bar and not below... so u will run ur turbos to death. a k16 has a 5 psi spring...
I really think u need some sort of turbo that can handle the extra pressure...

I was looking into this a while back, and someone at Evo told me the upgraded wastegates were not really designed for the K16 turbos. These were specifically made for the K24 application. Again, that's what I was told.

so does this benefit the k24s... and is it worth it?... does it wear the turbos quicker as in longevity reduced?

I guess I wasted $500. I'm going to upgrade to K24's anyway very soon so I guess I'll use them then for better results.

U didnt waste them... u them in the future.... U can put them on the k16s... but just keep the thing at 1 to 1.1 bars.. it may be difficult to dial them in...
I had 6 months trial and error with the 1 bar and 1.2 bar springs...
ist very important that they are set up correctly.... especially the nuts on them... they have to be the same.. otherwise u will work one turbo harder then the other...
