1/4 mile video
Markski,
Perhaps I am too naive, thus too optimistic - after all, I only have 1 day at the track under my belt. But, that said, I am still targeting an 11.5 in my future. After reading your post, now I am not so sure...but I'm not giving up, yet.
Scott, your car must be like a riding a rocket!

As far as my car...it's pretty damn thrilling to drive, I have to admit. Still wouldn't mind having another 300 HP in the future, though.
awesome..... toy see all u needed is a 1.7 60 ft.
Congrats...
BTW- I somehow managed the 11.5 on stock WGs.... same 1.7 60ft... ????
I regret never running kevins stage 5s with the billet Wgs.... well they closed the track b4 I went.. and it rained me out the two times I was heading out...
congrats.... not to many guys with this set up can achieve what you did .

Mark - Not sure about RPM's, but if I recall correctly I think I was blipping to about 3000-4000 RPM's to get a feel for the throttle and on the final blip used a steady, 3/4 speed release of the clutch until the car was moving and I heard crirping tire spin, then I immediately dumped the clutch and floored it. This seemed to work best. My only high RPM, clutch dump with massive burnout resulted in a 12.2 and a little clutch smell (I got a little too excited on one launch).
BTW - I have the stock clutch with 57,800 miles on it and it still grabs fine, although I think it may have been slipping on the hard launch. The tires were squealing for all 6500 RPM's in 1st, until I shifted to 2nd

Kevin,
I had not been to NEDW for over 20 years (and only as a spectator back then). I attended a Porsche day earlier this summer and since then I have been 3 times - the NOPI Nationals, the IHRA Nationals and today. I am getting comfortable there and love the facility. I was joking with my wife today about getting a trailer and making the strip our weekend home for the summer. For some reason, she didn't think it would be that great.
