Well, when I sent my ECU to EVOMS on Monday I disconnected my battery first then removed my box and mailed it out. On the the way back in the house I went ahead and closed my hood. DOH!!!
So 2 days later I go my ECU back.. (great, quick service from Todd and gang at EVOMS btw..major props) so I installed it, put the carpet back in place and I am ready to re-connect my battery and fire her up.
Come to find out the key fob I was planning to unlock my hood won't work without the battery connected!!
I have no jumper cables to use as a power source under the dash, so am I **** out of luck till I go to WalMart and grab a set or is there another way to open it??

I'll just make a run to the store to pick up some cables. Lesson learned.

It's probably not a MUST, but it was recommended to me to do so by members I trust to know best.
Anyways, I picked up a set of jumper cables (something I should of had anyway) and I'm ready to install my V-Flow and DV's now.

Look in the manual, it will show you how to connect the jumper cables to get the trunk to open. Connect one end to the fuse and the other to the metal bracket on the inside of the door.

I did the jumpers last night worked good.
I believe I've read that there is a thin wire cable behind the passenger side, plastic inner fender well cover near the backside of the headlight. This, supposedly, is connected directly to the latch mechanism.
