Hot as hell!

Drove to the cleaners on Sat and the on-board outside air temp read 116 degrees!

I'm going to park the TT until the weather cools down a bit. That's got to be torture on a turbo car..

Surely that would be Fahrenheit, lol

I was down South France recently and was roughly about 104/105 F, remember thinking how the car is way less responsive to the heat!

Would like to know from Mark or others some figures in power loss through hot weather!

Hot's not bad...

The air temperature in Marin county was in the 80's, which is hot for the area. There was one benefit. No drone or resonance with my Fabspeed! I fell in love all over again!

you should be fine if you are indeed bone stock. (although sharky was telling me he had a pinging cayenne turbo in the shop over the weekend..)

for everyone else, the power loss comes from the less dense air. if i remember correctly, it's a 1:1 correspondance between air density differential and power. for example, if the density differential is 5%, you will lose 5hp.

in practical terms, i believe it was every 5 degrees = 1 less hp.

I know I was completely shocked! Never ever seen that happen before but it did. As soon as it did it, the ECU cut back boost, timing and everything and it felt more like a Cayenne S from that point on lol.

I heard it was 117 in Gilroy on Saturday. I was at Moto GP, where track temps were 12 degrees higher that it's ever been before.
