Dear Todd at EVO

When you disconnect the front axles and test in 2wd mode, will your numbers be relative to the AWD daily drivers. I have never tested an AWD car in 2wd mode. Thinking of switching the 996TT to it. I have a couple customers that do the conversion. Since you run a 2wd dyno...what are your thoughts to converting from AWD to 2WD.

Thanks!

The AWD has 6-8% more loss going through the drivetrain to the ground, so the answer would be no way. If your car stays AWD, dyno awd, if you cant and must disconnect, im sure you should factor in the loss to get an accuarate reading.

As for if you should go RWD? DO IT!

NP Dan, affect the test's in which ways, power output from more power and less drivetrain loss to the ground? If so im sure there is some slight correction factor you can add it make it more accurate, but i see where your coming from! I would def. go RWD if i were you.
