Big Tires!
My car is lowered (see pic) and signif neg camber and lives mostly at the track... Does anyone think RA-1 tires 335 on a 12 inch wheel (GT2) will fit??
Zippy seems to think so, so thought I'd ask around before I ruin a set of tires!
TIA

And don't even consider rear tire options in isolation. You need to
ensure the actual rolling diameter of the fronts are as close as
possible to the rears. If you're on track this becomes even more
important and the tolerances are lower. You have to consult the
manufacturer's tire specs (revolutions per mile).
I know a GT2 that runs 335s in the rear, and I know they did suspension,
fender, and wheel well alterations to accomodate them. I also know of
996tt owners who tried running 315 tires and rubbed their fenderwell
linings down to shiney metal or daylight.

I ran the exact same setup on my 996TT and ended rubbing through the plastic fender shield and the rear left boost hose. The GT2 can accomodate a 12" wheel but the 996TT CANNOT! Save yourself the trouble I had and don't do it.

no problems at all.
I tried a 335 but had inner rubbing...

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a fender roller?
have you tried the 315/30/19?? Hossier new tire , do you think it will fit and better, not affect AWD?
Why do you want more tire Tom? It's not going to increase anything but sidewall flex and maybe drag. Contact patch will not be increased. I can understand the wider wheels, but bigger tires without compensating and adding a stiffer sidewalled tire wont help you much at all. And you'd probably have to go wide body or tub the inner wheel well to get those to fit.
Having trouble putting that 650 to the ground? You should probably step up in tires, or downforce or down in power.
