Big Tires!
Mike,
You ask a great question cos I have been having an issue with my RA1's being very squirmy at high speeds.
I thought it was an alignment issue until I called Rob King and he told me it's the tires. When the RA1's are at full tread depth the rubber moves around alot. Shaved the problem goes away, I am getting used to the moving around now. I just need to wear them down more
, should not take long.
One thing I will say is they stick way way better than MPS2's, way better even when not up to temperature. They are also noiser than the MPS2's
Rob used to run RA1's at the track. He now runs R888 and he says these tires are streets better for high speed stability but with one issue more road noise than the RA1's so I think that answers you question, they are noisier.

Hi Tom,
I've got your old GT2 wheels and 315 hoosiers.I havn't tried them yet. will it rub if set the alignment to gt2 spec?
How much neg camber do I need so as not to rub .I don't want to roll the fenders.

BTW, just a note for everyone, Last year I thought my transmission was on the way out after a serious track session, the noise turned out to be the 888's, the sound is identical to transmission whine, so don't be worried, PHEW, I WAS!
Fender rolling is actually very simple, if you take your time.
