Good to hear... But the Supra can get away with one shift we have to do two.... so we always are .2 to .4 sec. behind.
With one shift my car would do a 4.5xx. but Im 2 mph away form doing it.
I think KPG will be able to do it without any shifts.... in 3rd.
Can't wait to see the figures.

mark,
I go easy in 1st 2nd...then shift to 3rd early by 45...at 50 I hit it so that I am building boost by 4K when I hit 60....hold 3rd till about 6700 RPMs or so and then hammer 4th til 130.
One shift is the way to go in my car.
In regards to Peters car...it is just insanely fast...we ran 80-155 on the way home and he pulled 6 lengths on my....1K hp is 1K hp.

We with the bigger packages cannot do it in one shift.. we dont have enough RPMs ... so we do 2nd,3rd, and 4rth.

Sean the soft launch and 1 shift really helped me out. My 1st run of 7.9 was 2 shifts, redlining each gear. The 2nd run I waited too late in 3rd and punched it at 57mph (DOH!) and got an 8.4. I decided to close my eyes and use "The Force" on the 3rd run and pulled the 7.7. It was great to be able to place a face with all the online personalities!
Biuld boost by starting 3rd at 30 mph.... ride it out..

Sean, your car did great...but please, let's keep this in perspective. You did not lose to a 1k Supra on the highway, you lost to a 780 rwhp Supra on the highway. I turned the boost down and was only running 780 rwhp. As we'd both expect, I pulled you fairly easily and as the MPH increased the pull just got worse.
As for the times, they are all posted in the 60-130 thread, files have been sent to Scott.

MARKSKI - agreed 100%, no doubt about it! Like I said in my post, "as we'd both expect, I pulled you fairly easy..." It was not a fair race as indeed I was running about 150 rwhp MORE than Sean.

Peter,
I turned down my boost for the ride home. You turned down your boost. Both of us were running race gas. My car maxes out at 640 but was making less...your car maxes out at 1K but was making less (I will bet more than 780 though).
Thus a 640 rwhp GT2 was pulled by 5 lengths by a 1k rwhp Supra. If I ran max boost and you ran max boost it would be the same. No need for you to qualify...my car also went into limp mode on the first time we tried to run (I am sure you noticed that I did not pursue) ... I shifted down to 4th (to less than 4 K rpm....) and nothing happened...she also went dead betwen shifts on the one where I was chasing you... and you pulled on me easily. However, I really didn't (and don't) need to start making excuses, I simply conceeded that you pulled me. Your car runs a 4.7 60-130, my car runs a 6.6.
You are the first guy to make excuses AFTER winning a race. Whats up w/ that?
Just say "yeah I pulled Sean's GT2 by 5 lengths...maybe even more...[you did pull me hard no doubt] from 80-155" and leave it at that.
Anyway, thanks for running a great show today...I had a lot of fun.

Sean, no excusesfrom me, just pointing out the facts.....it wasn't even a real "run" to me anyhow, just a fun jaunt. I guess it "erked me" to hear the dumbass comment "a 1,000 rwhp Supra pulled me 5 cars..." From my point of view it looked more like 8-10 car lengths, but it was hard to tell as I was pulling harder and harder the faster we went. TRUST ME, at 1,000+ rwhp, even with you at FULL KILL, it would be a 10+ car slaughter...
OH, I had fun today too!
