I have to agree with Sharky. Sharky, correct me if im wrong but wont a chip along get him close to 500 hp?

I think you should lower it, headers, 200 cell cats, exhaust, chip and intake, plus the others sharky suggested. That should get you well over 500 hp and def a sick TT, as if it werent sick right now. Do you have any pics yet?

vv23,

Yes I am in Edm. Unfortunately, the Diablo belongs to a friend of mine. Regarding pics of my TT, I am sad to say I still don't know how to post them.

This thead was my first when I bought my car over a year ago. I was re reading all the suggestions, and had notice one saying " in no time you will want 700hp"

Absolutely right....
This site is pure evil........and I'm loving it.

Thanks for all the advice guys, the mods will definitely continue.

Howie

BTW, vv23, there is an Edm meet on Jan 15/08. Interested?

Yah I'm definetly interested. Where is it going to be? I'll make a stop

I don't have a Porsche yet, but plan on buying a 996 TT in the next couple months, thought i'd hit the forums to findout what to look for beforehand.

Right now I drive a 5 series BMW.

What colour is your Turbo? Have you done any winter driving in it?

The meet is at Earls whitemud crossing. Look here for more info

See "Canada" Forum https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...d.php?t=109660

The only winter driveing I've done is when I drove the car back from Vancouver and hit a snow storm. Even though the car is AWD, I wouldn't reccomend it for winter.

Are you looking for a 996 local, or are you planning to purchase down south?
which part of Edm do you live in?

Howie

I think rwd is for those with a lot of driving skill....even experts have trouble with over 500hp...be careful. Porsche made the stock turbo awd for a reason...think about it. Find a tuner and work with them....I use UMW. Sharkey is superb. IA is great, proto, etc. Lots have used EVO. Etc. I think the key is to let someone else figure it out first on an engine that box cost is 25-40k$....

Go with Sharky. On the exhaust....search on TJW...

:-)

Once you have funds, get a real exhaust of course.

JB
