Sunday the 13th Malibu run...we've been punked boys

Not sure if this is the place to discuss this, but I think we've been had.

951 Turbo is the one who started the thread...if you click his thread history he posted one IN EVERY FORUM ON HERE. In fact they are his ONLY posts...any one seen him since? He wasn't at the meet. I'd like to think I'm wrong, but it's way more than a little bit of a coincidence no? Unbelievable.

I wish I was a Computer Forensic scientist, because if I was, and this guy did happen to be a cop...Entrapment is a VERY serious crime and I'd make sure that it was proven. If he was just some ******* messing with us, then he'd have a very bad virus on his computer.

It's weird, but this is really bothering me...I haven't been here long, and I know it's the internet but I feel kind of violated...yeah I know it was our choice to go, but I really feel like this is a close-knit community...feels kind of like the house just got robbed....

Guys, you would have to speak to site admin, they could possibly trace through IP Address (the posts) this can be done, but wheather the site admin would give the direct information out is another issue. I have come up against similar situations in the past where admin would check this out to see if any links in IP addresses were present and they would deal with the issue direct! If you think this is the case do a quick write up and send it to (is it Shank! can't remember) admin. If it is true they would be in serious, serious trouble (certainly here in UK) please be aware of this that this does go on in the UK where they scan sites and look for meets etc, etc!

I'm sure there was a case a while back now where someone was on the forum boasting about doing some silly speed and recorded it. Not long after the law was at his front door.

I hate thinking conspiracy theory but I think your question is valid it is odd that the guy had 25 posts total all on the same subject. I would kick this up to Shank and trace the guys IP address.

No but what if it is some ***** that knew that they were doing a crack down that weekend. If it was in the paper it was an effort planned in advance.

Just be aware this kind of thing does go on!

It's funny a lot of Police (off duty) in UK are into their cars and some of them have been known to post on forums, etc. I know of 2 who are on the forums all the time and are absolute sound blokes, but a bet a few that are on, are not so!!!

Just common sense, that's all!

Man, this just won't die... We went on a little Canyon run in an area that is known to have crackdowns and we happened to hit a more than average weekend for CHP infestation. A couple of people got meaningless fix it tickets for front license plate violations and we had one situation of a towed vehicle due to an overzealous response to not having a current driver's license on hand and everybody thinks that we were set up????

I still think that this notion is . As I've said earlier, there are cops in Malibu EVERY weekend and I know this because I ride my bikes up there just about EVERY weekend...(or my riding buddies do).

If the police are out to get us and are attempting to entrap us in order to issue license plate violations then they are taking a huge risk and wasting some serious time!!! If they were doing that then I would have no choice but to laugh in their faces for their amazing ability to waste time and resources... I sincerely hope that is the case!

Hey CHP, I'll be out again this weekend...I hope to see you all again soon!
