Marksi if it were easy - everyone would be doing it In both shoot outs I actually beat Cort Wagner's, Johannes Van Overbeek's, and Darren Law's times. Drag racing isn't actually easy- hence with the EVO you had that guy drive the car. Even with an auto there's some wackyness. Having said that, I am a COMPLETE MONKEY!

I know its not easy.... but can be done... I think the evoms company car ran a 1.60 ft. but I think Todd said it had the LSD and I heard it had a redone tranny? I do not know just rumors.... The other trick I think is to go with a GT2 because u dont have PSM and the car doesnt fight u as much... Then the TIP... It may and may not be an advantage?

I ran a 10.8 myself and the driver ijn the video was my tuner Adam who runs evos regularly... Im alot better in the TT... he tried my TT and had a 2.0 60ft.... I got in it and ran 1.74.

Its all practice as you know.... hopefully Ill get a chance to run my TT this year... its in the final stages... then I just have to slap some stronger axles and pray

Shes all done and even started... considering the extent of the build out... honestly I was scared it would not.. so for now it looks and sounds good.
It looks like we will be running GT3 software in it due to the gt3 heads /cams.. etc... I was told yesterday that they are working on the code.
keep my fingers crossed.

Sac isn't too bad actually! We picked up a car in San Diego and then from LA to our shop was about 4.5 hours down the 5 and then another 1.5 to Sac had we gone. Still far though... People don't understand how annoying it is to drive 5-6 hours (with our exhausts) to a track only to be booted off after the 1st run.
Famoso is pretty chill on tech...the didn't really bother me when I was running low 11's in a convertible w/ no bar.

I think you'd need better than a 1.6x short time to run a 9 second pass. Starting with a 1.6x is a big handicap to running a single digit pass.

Being sure of running a 9 is when you've got the timeslip to prove it. Before that it's all talk.

I agree with you... the 1.6 will get mid to low 10s.... but to do a 9 sec. pass you need a little better then that...

There's an 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile time chart at the bottom of this page.

http://www.pro-system.com/calc.html

It might give an idea of what 1/8 would get you into the 9s for the 1/4.

most of those cars are 6 speed manual's with et street radials, et drags or drag radials. The fastest car on the list is a 6 speed with a twin turbo setup. We have faster car's on the board but they don't add themselves to the list.

you can decifer their mods with this...

C=Chip
F=Filter
L=Lower Pulley
U=Upper Pulley
T=Throttle Body
D=Drag Radials/Slicks
S=Suspension
E=Catback or X-Pipe
H=Headers
I=Ignition Upgrade
M=MAF
G=Gears
R=Weight Reduction
A=Automatic Transmission
V=Convertible
N=Nitrous
P=Ported Eaton
Z=Aftermarket Blower

*edit one of our guys just ran a 9.75 @ 141 with the stock motor and stock wheels with a single 76mm turbo (23psi)...he is running an auto trans, but no trans brake. He is launching off of 0 boost. http://www.modularfords.com/forums/t...1-a-60091.html

I read the post on the 9.75 pass... he used hoosier slicks and a shot of NOS to spool up the turbos.... we with the TTs cant use none of the above...
the TT is not meant for this type of racing.. and yet we try

he was using the Hoosier drag radial (similar compound to the bfg drag radials a lot of Porsche guys run). He sprayed only in first because he can't spool the turbo with his auto trans w/o a trans brake. Why cant you put a wet shot on a turbo? I don't see why not, since a wet shot acts on it's own and doesn't require tuning outside of finding the proper solenoids to achieve the desired a/f. I am sure VRAlex has experience with this.

Well its hard to explain... we just don't put NOS on $30K stock motors... last time someone did it it cost him his rods... and just to rebuild the motor back its $15K( lower end only).
I bought a Evo 8 and I dont care about blowing up the motor cause it costs me $600 labor to redo it. I run low 10s all day long....
Alexander is not using NOS.. although he has the lines installed... Todd Knighton who built the car is against it.... He told me... Im doing a similar set up as Alexander except Im going with GT3 RS heads and cams... the car is currently being tuned on a gt3 software.
Just to let you know.. Alexanders project cost him $140K( not including the car)- maybe thats why we do not mess around with NOS.
Im not trying to be smart... so dont get me wrong..... I still have yet to see a 1.5 60ft in a TT.... and probably never will.
