In both shoot outs I actually beat Cort Wagner's, Johannes Van Overbeek's, and Darren Law's times. Drag racing isn't actually easy- hence with the EVO you had that guy drive the car. Even with an auto there's some wackyness. Having said that, I am a COMPLETE MONKEY!

Im alot better in the TT... he tried my TT and had a 2.0 60ft.... I got in it and ran 1.74.
Its all practice as you know.... hopefully Ill get a chance to run my TT this year... its in the final stages... then I just have to slap some stronger axles and pray

It looks like we will be running GT3 software in it due to the gt3 heads /cams.. etc... I was told yesterday that they are working on the code.
keep my fingers crossed.

Sac isn't too bad actually! We picked up a car in San Diego and then from LA to our shop was about 4.5 hours down the 5 and then another 1.5 to Sac had we gone. Still far though... People don't understand how annoying it is to drive 5-6 hours (with our exhausts) to a track only to be booted off after the 1st run.

congrats!
I think you'd need better than a 1.6x short time to run a 9 second pass. Starting with a 1.6x is a big handicap to running a single digit pass.
Being sure of running a 9 is when you've got the timeslip to prove it. Before that it's all talk.

There's an 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile time chart at the bottom of this page.
http://www.pro-system.com/calc.html
It might give an idea of what 1/8 would get you into the 9s for the 1/4.

I read the post on the 9.75 pass... he used hoosier slicks and a shot of NOS to spool up the turbos.... we with the TTs cant use none of the above...
the TT is not meant for this type of racing.. and yet we try

Well its hard to explain... we just don't put NOS on $30K stock motors... last time someone did it it cost him his rods... and just to rebuild the motor back its $15K( lower end only).
I bought a Evo 8 and I dont care about blowing up the motor cause it costs me $600 labor to redo it. I run low 10s all day long....
Alexander is not using NOS.. although he has the lines installed... Todd Knighton who built the car is against it.... He told me... Im doing a similar set up as Alexander except Im going with GT3 RS heads and cams... the car is currently being tuned on a gt3 software.
Just to let you know.. Alexanders project cost him $140K( not including the car)- maybe thats why we do not mess around with NOS.
Im not trying to be smart... so dont get me wrong..... I still have yet to see a 1.5 60ft in a TT.... and probably never will.
