Bridgestone SO2a's, would get my vote for best tire for street/light track use.... I have driven on lots.... hated most.... Liked a few.... and only LOVED one...

Again, this is just what I've been led to believe and thus have only purchased the Michellins as I thought they were better dry & wet traction with less road noise. I never did a side-by-side comparison with other brands except Pzeros which I couldn't stand.

So, if you could have any street tire for, let's say for your pregnant wife's turbo porsche, you'd choose the conti's? I'm not trying to be argumentative - just want to know what's best...

TIA
I've been lead to believe that performance wise the top of the list would be Bridgestone SO-2A's with its relatively stiff walls and soft rubber, then Michelin Pilot Sport Ribs with their super stiff walls but less grip than Bridestone or even P-Zeros with their stiff sidewall but very poor rain performance, good dry performance (although they induce more understeer than any other), flat spotting and road noise. When searching for the right tire I bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2's thinking the lastest tire to be developed would be the best, well...not so... the super soft sidewalls are too soft for the OEM RoW suspension making the car wallow at speed although pure grip on both wet and dry is unbeatable.

The ideal tire would be Michelin Pilot Sport 2's with the Michelin's Sport Ribs stiff sidewalls!!!

I haven't tested the Bridgestone's nor the Conti's (although I had them on a Boxster and I found them a nice all rounder but not great at anything but the price). Advan Neovas seem to be what I'm looking for but not available here in Europe, I'm getting a quote from Damon but if costs are too high I'll be dumping (one more set of tires) the PS2's with 2000miles on them to try the SO-2A's...
Gentleman please share your experiences, opinions and why.

Hey yall...well i have had the Bridgestones the Pilots and now am on the Conti's.... bad luck with tires....anyways...the pilots are the best... The dam conti's take to long to warm up and if you ever turn the PSM off to go on a track or on a canyon run the first few turns will be slippery...while with the pilots and the bridgestones heated up faster....this is also with about a 1 minute or so of heating the tires up F1 style...LOl

Wross hi! I got MPSC's on my track wheels... and since I got 2 sets of wheels I'd llike to run a proper street tire for the street, as they say... horses for courses.

What differences have you found between the Pilot Sport Ribs and the Bridgestone's? Aren't the Brigdestones alot more sticky the the Michelins? What about sidewall stiffness? I'm asking this questions because the Pilot Sport Ribs I tested were 4 years old, worn out and had been off the car for a year so my testing night have been distorted.

i currently have the SO2-A's on my sport techno wheels right now. only had them about 9 mos but nothing really to complain about. i have only driven them on the streets during dry conditions so I hope I would have nothing to complain about!

I just ordered some 19" champion wheels wrapped in PS2's so I will be able to do a quick comparison street-wise. Unfortunately there are not any tracks in West TX for me to have some fun and do some real testing
