WTF.....1.4 bar consistantly now...then TB shutdown.
Well, now my car is acting crazy. I am hitting 1.4 bar everytime I drive her. Then I get the throttle body stutdown.
This happens whenever I go WOT, and also does it when I ease into the gas...and the boost jumps from .3 to .8 to 1.4...then TB shutdown. Now I have to keep a 10mm in the car to disconnect the battery for a minute and it just resets. Maybe I should just put a dash mounted switch so whenever this happens I can just flick it....then put the PCM code in...reset the clock and change all settings to US parameters. UGGGHHHH...this is really irritating.
I have checked all of the boost hoses, the DV's are still connected fine. I looked under the car last night and could see the drivers side wastgate...but could not see the passenger side at all. Of course I was on the floor trying to look...car was not lifted. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know...if not to the dealer again.

I forgot, What turbos and WGs are you using?
Your probably on the upgraded springs... and Its a ***** trying to dial them in... especially when the temperature changes...
well, I had the same problem for a while.. you can install a manual boost controller parallel to the stock frequency valve and dial in the boost thats way... so you dont have to drive around with a 10 mm wrench.
The other thing is that diode- it's a band aid fix but it works.
Or you just get a software that is written for higher boost levels.
but if you are on k16/24s or similar turbos you do not need to be past 1.2 bars...

The pressure hose going to one or both of your wastegates has either fallen off or has a leak in it. Inspect carefully and replace if needed.
Or what Markski said.
I would drive gingerly for now. You are seriously spinning one or both of your turbos.

Also, I will say that whatever is causing this is making the boost come on real fast and ferocious...then when I shift to the next gear after it hits 1.4 bar, I am in limp mode.

what gas are you running @ those levels? if it's pump, i'd stop driving it til you find the problem.
this is coming from someone who just had to rebuild an engine b/c of (most likely) a similar type problem. (that is, unless you're looking for a good excuse to upgrade
)

It might be a stuck check valve or something.... I recall Sharky had a similar issue on a customer car...
funny that it happened as soon as u got it back from the dealership.

Well, Stephen and Markski and Ari and 996TT Stevo were correct. The hose that connects to the bottom of the timing valve for boost pressure control is not even connected.
Many thanks to Markski for walking me through this. Guess it is off to the dealer since I cannot even find the hose that connects...and can't get my hands in there to even connect it...even if I could find it.

What I have noticed is that they can easily be blown off! If you can jack her up and get underneath you will find the end of the hose floating around (hanging loose) Just have to reconnect, but use a tiny jubilee or connection clip to hold the hose down. If you were to take the inner wheel arch liner out you would get a clear view. Good luck!
