Has anyone had a good experence with H&R springs?

I had them on my C4S and I thought they were fine, I don't track the car (mainly for looks) I am planning on putting them on my 03 Turbo, and now everybody seems to be bashing them. I just want to lower the car and I dont want to spend 2K on coilovers and installation. Also I did notice that the H&R springs on my 02 C4S were black (already on car when I bought it) and the ones I recieved from tire rack (H&R) were red anybody know why?

to my knowledge its cause of spring rate on the color...could be really wrong.. secondly DONT INSTALL THEM.. I had them on my cab.. Allen at Speed Gallery even stated on a work invoice the springs are defective at all 4 corners... H&R refunded me my money and compensated me as well.

I have had them on my car for close to a year. No issues or problems. A cost effective way to lower the car. Drive is fine too. Mine are comming off this week and will be forsale for $200 is you want them

my car came lowered with the same springs you have (red) and contrary to what seems like very many say about the springs I had no problems with mine. for what you want they are perfect. Do it and dont worry about it.

i'm sooo confused noww.... @_@.... everybody was bashing the H&R springs on the thread i created, now everybody in this thread says it's fine... ahhhhh..... what do i dooo... ahhhhhhh...... i just want to lower the damn car... i don't track it, i drive fast sometimes on the street... ok.... let me ask again then... how do h&r lower springs with stock shocks and struts compare with OEM stock suspension setup? in the other thread, people told me h&r plus stock shocks made the car handle funny (worse than stock setup) have you guys had this problem before?

i originally had the springs on my c2. i never thought it handled as good as it should. now i have the pss9's. they work great. the car feels alot more balanced then with just springs. Im sure because the shock is matched with the springs.

Feel your pain...I was hot for a set of X73s for my '04 C4S cab ....everyone including major parts dealers advised it until certain engineers from Stutgart said "Nein" on the cab ....so I went with H&R sport springs about a year ago and couldn't be more satisfied.

How about the Cargraphic Springs for the 996tt?

guys,

These are made by H&R built to cargraphic specs. I know "LSM" had them on his 996 turbos and raved about them. Also "RAZA" has them too. So.... I got them as well for my upcoming Turbo. I bought them from RSS. Greg gave me a great price. $425.00

He told me these have the nylon spacers, so no rear end droop.
These springs lower the car 30mm in front 25mm in rear.
