I have bought many higline cars including Porsches at dealer wholesale auctions. I do this with my buddy who is a large wholesaler and pay him a small fee. There are at least 50 auctions a day with sometimes 1,000 cars ea.
These cars mostly are comming off lease. Forget blue book ,edmunds etc. these are the real wholesale prices and is where your local dealer usually get their cars .These prices can change by wide margin depending on market conditions such weather, gas prices, and supply and demand.
There are detailed condition reports showing every ding and scratch, even thickness of the paint on each panel; remember dealers are relying on this info since these cars can be bought online without being at the auction. That way they have wide choices and pull from anywhere in the country.
Prices right now here on the eastcost for Porsches are low and much less than in Calif. That will change in the spring .
If any body needs help in finding one
I can hook you up with my budd.

There's 2 ways to get good deals, 1st auction TT's are in the mid 50's range, second, if you know the fleet guy at the dealership and he watch out for trade ins for you..LOL that's how I got this car, he called me that they bought a trade for 60K if I want to buy it at 62-63.
Other than that look for a desperate seller
This is the cheapest on ebay with high miles.
The seller states buy it now price of $52,595 but actual auction's BIN price is $1K higher
Porsche : 911 TURBO
2001 PORSCHE 911 TURBO AWD, 51K, BUY IT NOW $52,595!

Just looked at it and BIN price is more than 1K higher than in the body of his ad. The link you gave doesn't show any bids, but when I go onto e-Bay, many times it mentions the number of bids, even if it is 0. Perhaps the owner can change the BIN price at his discression. I have never bought or sold on e-Bay so don't know. Maybe an experienced e-Bayer can shed some light.
That car looks pretty beat!
Check out the interior, the seats look all worn, the fuse panel cover is gone and there's marks on th passenger side dash, check out the shift **** the color is all worn off, that car was not taken care of, if you can see thoes flaws from the $hitty pictures on ebay, in person it's got to be worse.

I don't know about you guys but for mid 50's I cant see what better car out there you can find ?
If there is no paintwork and it is any color but black a profesional detailer can make the paint look almost brand new and if you are a stickler like me you get new porsche leather for your front seats and a new steering wheel for say another 3k and your car will look showroom besides the odemeter.
