Got an 04' X50!
I flew out to SF over labor day weekend and bought this 2004 Porsche 996 TT X50 with 9k miles. Ofcourse, threads like this are worthless without pics, so here are some from the dealership
The car which should arrive here by next week (being shipped via enclosed trailer from California)

Now some questions:
From what I've read, the Misha GT2 wing effects the car's stability at high speed. Any thing I can do to correct this? Also does the Misha GT2 wing only come in fiberglass or carbon fiber as well?
What's the quickest way to lower the car? I had PSS9 coilovers on my M3 but I'm not sure I need them on the TT.
Which short-shift kit do you guys recommend? B&M or the Porsche factory short shift?
Any "must-have" mod recommendations?
Performance-wise, is the EVOMS Stage 2 "Hammer" kit my best option if I want to retain stock turbos?
Thanks in advance,
-Awais

Congrats! You must have a huge permanent grin right now. I can't answer your questions about the wing, but here are some thoughts:
Lowering: The Porsche X73 suspension might suit you well. It lowers the car about an inch and retains a great ride. I have a kit if you're interested.
Shift kit: B&M makes Porshce's kit, so it doesn't matter.
Power mods: Get used to the GT2 first, then do mods. You'll appreciate them more. Just my opinion!

I believe the Misha GT2 wing only affects stability for cars without the turbo front chin spoiler (like 4S, 2S,.. etc) i believe these are not issues with the turbo...
quickest way to lower would be h&r springs (i think tire rack sells them for 300ish) or you can get a set from a fellow 6speeder.. i think there are a few sets for sale..
shift kit: stay with oem ssk (to avoid problems with warranty?)?

1. Lowering is one thing, handling is quite another. Get the PSS9's + sways + tower braces. Dialed in correctly by an expert, you'll get the lowering AND the car is transformed handling wise. The difference is remarkable.
2. Stick with Porsche SSK.
3. 'Don't know about warranty considerations or your budget, but EVOMS Stage 2 is good; Stage 4 w/wastegate mod is awesome. Turbos and intercoolers (which are already GT2) can be left stock.
Anyway, enjoy, enjoy. I've had mine for 4 1/2 years and it's still a rush everytime I turn the key and start her up; let alone driving it.

I think you are looking at stage 3 since you have an X50 car. The difference between stage 1/2 and 3/4 is the K24 turbos that already come with the X50 package.
Welcoime to the club, I bought a 9xxx mile X50 last December and it's been a great time.
