Thanks again for all the therapy....I mean help. The car is at Reeves in Tampa. I live 5 miles from there and they are the only ones locally I can trust with a car like this. They have at least with me always been fair.
I am sorry to report that the car is now on its 8th day there with no answers.
The car gives no CEL's so I dont think they know what to check.

I mean this is a stock X-50 with a REVO flash and straight pipes no cats.
They have reflashed back to stock , changed the maf, throttle body, etc to no avail.

the car does not stall while idling. only when the clutch is pushed in. seems like it "should" be simple but apparently NOT!!!

I cant wait to tell everyone if and when I find out what is wrong. hopefully it will help someone!!

I dont know the process at the dealer when the car has been at a certified dealership for over a week and they cant solve it? Send the car back to Germany???

Hopefully the answer soon!!!!

thanks again all

tom

Just curious about this thread. Do you think when you are sitting still in neutral and depress the clutch, it is hitting the floor switch which allows you to start the car, and it is shorting out or somehow killing the ignition, rather then doing the opposite. Since that switch is directly to the ignition, do you think it may be allowing to start the car, then after it is on, it is shorting out. Just a thought. Hope you get it fixed soon.

There is also a switch at the top of the clutch pedal's travel, that disconnects the cruise control.
Prior to the problem has anyone messed with the wiring, installed a radio, or anything like that?

My initial thought was that the boost assist for the clutch could be malfunctioning, producing too much assist (don't know if this is this even mechanically possible), taking power from the engine, and causing it to stall. But this seems less likely if it happens at higher rpm's. Still might be worth checking into.

Well ........... I am going to stick with Reeves till they give up. I appreciate the suggestions I pass them ALL on to Reeves ( I'm sure they appreciate it!) They said it has nothing to do with the clutch. They are replacing the TB today?! I'll let ya know. Hopefully someone will benifit from this!!!!

thanks all

tom

Has anyone heard what the final result or solution of Tom's misfortune? I'm curious because I'm having a similar problem. When I am driving really slow, like approaching a speedbump, the clutch is fully depressed and applying the brake, the engine stalls. It only happens occasionally, but I do notice the sometimes when I take the foot off of the throttle, the revs dip so low that the engine almost stalls and then overrevs to compensate. Something is making the engine lose its idle...any ideas why?

My car problems seemed to be resolved by a number of little tweeks that added up to a cure. There was no one thing "doing" it. Also the LWFW adds to the problem if not driven carefully.
Hope you sort yours out, mine actually seemed better after the REVO software was tweeked.
good luck

Tom i always wondered what the issue wound up being too.. But you are totally correct, the LWFW really isnt an issue with revs dipping down and stalling, its the software not compensating for it and that has to be tweeked as you said, had the problem many times while waiting for new software on my SC'd M3.. BUT, my GT2 with it is perfectly smooth, Tom what Clutch and LWFW are you using?

It appears the problem might have been fixed today. The did a little mapping of the DME and changed the throttle body completely. No more weird idle or stalling, at least for now. I'll keep my fingers crossed this is the last of my problems, but I won't hold my breath.
