Insurance???
Insurance???
For those with a subscription to WSJ Online (should be everyone - doctors and pilots excused
) Look in the "Go Figure" section under journal links at the bottom of the page. In the current "Autos" portion of this section, it says that the 911 turbo is the 3rd most expensive car to insure behind the Merc CL Class, and the Acura NSX
The list can be found HERE , but the cost figures for the top five are only on the WSJ site. OK here they are:
1. Merc CL Class $9,999
2. Acura NSX $9,183
3. Porsche 911 $9,050
4. Range Rover $8,448
5. Cayenne $8,355
I'm sorry but I own two of the cars on that list (3&4) for which I pay no more than $3000 a year for both (with reasonable deductibles and coverage, etc)
Is this even remotely accurate in other parts of the country? Does this list (or what's missing) strike you as odd?

hm...that's a bit more...@_@
i'm like 23... and the insurance on my TT is around 3000 a year... which will decrease by a lot when i reach 25...
and the insurance on my ML is around 2G a year as well...
those figure are so way off the chart...
I guess that's AAA's pricing based on 16 year old new driver...(male of course) haha
my frd's insurance on his C32 when he was 18 was 8G a year... hahahaha i guess that explains it... ^_^

I can't understand that. I pay a hair over 800 a year for full coverage, 29 year old married male in the mid-west with a couple tickets, 100/300 with a 500 deductible for an 02.
As a point of reference, I pay120 dollars a year more for a 01 S2000.....

I know it depends on where you live, but with similar coverages and $1000 deductable I pay $1900/year for my '02 Turbo.
