Hey guys I just installed the GT640 Kit and I need help on installing the 5 bar fuel regulator. Does anyone have a detailed write up on this. Also how long should I break in the turbos before i really get on them

I've done it twice and the best advise i can give is to get some bandaids for when you are done... not very helpful , but... the best insight i can offer....

the turbo break in should be around 500 miles, no boost at first, then more and more.

the 5 bar is a ***** no room. I dont suggest doing it... honestly, I watched my mechanic do it once so I learned.. but if u never seen it ... its tough... u need to know what to take off and move over... then u need to knwo where and how the clip goes in the FPr.... taking it off is easier but getting that pin back in is tougher.... I can do it in 30 minutes... take it to sharky or something...

I agree with Markski. A ***** might be a little bit understatement.

It took me 2 hours and IMO the hardest part of the kit. Will need band aids for sure.If i recall correctly i did it with the passenger turbo off and the coil packs removed using a long tip needle nose. You can see it from underneath if you shine a light up next to the cylinder head. The fpr is gold in color(round) and you need to remove the clip that holds the regulator in the housing(the hardest part as there is no room in there).Remember the order that the regulator comes out.Hope this helps.

I did a 200 mile break in with 6-7 cycles. You should slowly introduce the boost after 150miles

I did it from the top... u take off the secondary air pump with 5 screws... ist all the way back but can be done.. i did it 3 times... this way u dont have to take any turbos.. thats a lot of work... just my opinion...
the problem is if he doesnt know what to look for it will be hard to see.

But he's doing a 640 kit and gonna have to change the turbos and the plugs anyway because that is part of the kit.If you do it with the turbos off you don't have to take the air pump off.JMO
