The Upsolute "chip" or reflash seems to be a cheap and effective way to gain some horsepower for my 02 Turbo.

Those of you that have done the deed, where did you purchase the upgrade, what does it entail and ... most of all, who has the best price.

Actually, the price varies from dealer to dealer. The Upsolute price is 350, dealers seem to charge between 525 and 650.

 

If you know how to remove your ECU, you can send it to Rene at Upsolute in Charlotte, NC and he'll upgrade and overnight it back to you. There are older threads on this board and on Rennlist giving directions on ECU removal. Check out Upsolute at www.upsolute.com. Rene Berube is the North American rep. Nice guy.

 

I will be getting my ECU back from Lanny Richardson tomorrow. Lanny is Upsolute's rep in Southern Califoirnia. I'll have more feedback after the ECU goes back in the car tomorrow. So far Lanny has been very courteous and responsive.
