Questions for Stage 4GT installers! NEED HELP!
Well I just got my car back and went from Stage 4 to a Stage 4GT and for my Bar is hitting 1.5?? Is this to high??
Also I have the Sachs Stage 2 Clutch installed and when I release the Clutch I have a Very loud knock from under the car which sounds like a bad throw out barring...
Can one of you tuners please give me some feedback on both issues..I tried calling the shop that did the install but they are closed and this will drive me nuts all night...Plus Todd at EVO is gone for the evening...

When I had a high performance clutch in my supra, I used to get that knock - they call it Clutch Chatter. However, it is supposed to be normal.

it's absolutely normal...
i just have my single mass flywheel installed too...
that noise come on when the clutch is not pressed in...
and u'll heard a bit of sound once engaged in gears... at low rpm when rolling...

John, the noise that you are hearing is 100% normal. When we replace the dual mass flywheel with the billet flywheel, the transmission "noise" is transmitted through the solid flywheel. With the OEM dual mass flywheel, the rubber center "soaks" up most all of the transmission noise, thus a quieter system.
Regarding the boost, the Stage 4Gt is designed to generate 1.5 bar in the midrange and taper off to 1.2-1.3 bar by redline. Call me if you need some more info.

i see 1.4 bar ^_^...and i'm using 100 octane
strangely enough...my car always have lower boost even as a stock turbo ^___^...
and Todd, is the redline raised? or are we still using the same redline as the stock?

My car is seeing 1.5 bar at 94 octane..I don't know if the weather has anything to do with it....But today it was 34 degrees...I doubt it...Todd thanks for clearing up the noise issue...After all is said and done...The freakin car hauls major ***!!!Specially in 2nd gear at 3500rpms at the punch...Major lag improvement over stage 4...Thanks a million Todd

I would imagine your car is really going to move from top of 4th on...
Next time, start in 3rd at about 60mph and see if you have enough road, etc. to run it up through 5th. Spool up time with the K16s and the upsolute is instantaneous....which is probably why he was able to hang with you. Im sure once you hit 5th you would start to walk away, etc. as the larger turbos would easily overtake the stockers.
