Yoko AVS Sport Tires

Hey Guys! Anybody use Yoko AVS Sport Tires before? I am going to run them on my 19" TechArt wheels 235/315 setup. I got a good deal off a fellow 6speeder and wanted to know if anybody runs these tires and how they compare to other tires. Thanks!

Jason

I had them on my Audi S4 and loved them for the first 7-8000 miles or so. I found them to handle excellent in the dry and wet with predictable feel. After that 7-8k mark, they got so loud that I actually had to remove them while they still had a good amount of tread left. It was unbearable under all circumstances. That was my experience with them, someone else might tell you otherwise.

I loved them too and will think about getting them in the future again. After around 8K miles, the insides starts showing wear and I took the tires off the rims and swapped them from right to left and left to right so that was on the inside will be on the outside and in the normal rotation and also extending the life of the tires.

I had 19's on a Lexus GS430 and while they were exceptional in the rain, they were unbearably noisy under almost all circumstances. Lots of "howling" at highway speeds, particularly if the road was damp.

Try the ADVAN Neova's, they are crazy-good!

I didn't have any noise issues with them on my C4S. The OE that came with the car sounded terrible and I thought I was driving a logging truck.

I've AVS sport on my Audi TT before, they were great in dry, but wear out quite fast. I've read some people report the AVS are narrower than Conti' and PS2 in 315.

They had good grip, but the tread didn't last too long on mine. 5000 miles and they're gone.

IMHO, these are the best tires for 996tt's running 19's and 315's in the rear. you can get pretty decent life out of these if you and demount/remount from left to right sides. performance is really good for dry street tires.

statdood, they do make them in 19 x 315. very elusive and hard to get. if you can find them they are pricey probably the most costly of all the tires in this size. I used to source them from gert @ carnewal.

I ran the exact same size 315/25/zr19 on a 12 inch rim... but it fell short a bit so a 11 inch will be greak.
they run narrow...
I liekd the tires alot...
