Anyone here getting an Elise?
Anyone here getting an Elise?
They look really cool, and the specs show it will be one light weight sports car. I can wait for them to come out so I can test drive one.
i ordered one and i am in the next batch to be sent to Lotus from my dealer. i'm hoping to have delivery end of summer. i also believe carrerascott and offroadr ordered elise as well. can't wait....
probably the most exciting car available for enthusiasts - especially for the dough. i'm thinking about one too. can you imagine an supercharger on it? i can :-)

Handling and Performance aside...Looks like alot of Japanese influence for a Lotus, imho...perhaps it's the "Lotus Flower" version of Lotus???

Yup I am on the waiting list for delivery in December or early 2005. Waiting for the LSD option to be available, should be by then. Should be a blast.
Wild thing is I show the pics to people and ask how much they think it is -- I get answers between $175k and $375k generally. They're blown away when I said $40k.

Yeah, I think it looks awesome... what sux is that the exhaust pipe on the euro version looks really cool, and they made it look horrible with the US spec version.
Not yet, but in 2-3 years or so, I may be deciding between a blown Elise or the new Z06 C6 vet. I would lean toward the Elise right now, I really like the looks and the handling is supposed to be stellar. This way the Elise tuners can get up and running and I won't have to wait in line so long if I go Elise.
It's probably just me, but I am not to crazy about looks of this car. I think the exaige was a better looking car. Not sure on the spelling.

With a celica engine and transmission I bet the thing will be ultra reliable, even with an aftermarket supercharger or turbo strapped on. Not bad for under 50K including mods.
I bet lots of people will be selling theirs once they figure out that it's not really a commuting car.
