Helmet choice made

17 days left to my first track day. I was searching online, gathering information on helmets and I thought I was ready to order one. Fortunately before I bought, I found out a local place (okay, an hour away, but that's local for S. FLA) that sells helmets called Wine Country Motorsports. I took a drive over there and thank god I did. They had a nice selection of helmets and I got to try on a bunch. I was really surprised to find out that there are really big differences between the way helmets fit -- even within the same company. I realized I had been using helmets one size too big to compensate for poor fit. I finally got the perfect helmet for me: the Arai GP-5W. Lightweight, perfect fit and big opening in front. I chose flat black.

Moral of the story: try before you buy

Now I got to find some Porsche stickers to go on the sides, maybe a small one on the front.

try Subesports in Huntington Beach.

If you are looking for an Arai GP5W, I have one in white size L. I have worn it once and will sell if for a good price.

Can't Sube order one for you. That's what I did. Wine Country Motorsports only had a white one in stock. My flat black is being delivered next week.

Anyway, I think the gloss black looked pretty sharp too.

I live 10 mins from Sube so I think I'll just drop buy and see what they got.

Is the Arai GP-5W compatible with the R3 H&N restraint from www.lfttech.com?
