Photo Blocker Paint?

Do you think this stuff works?

Is the clear cover better or the spray? Spray seems more stealth.

My wife just got nabbed. Photo radar sucks!

I have a buddy that uses both on his NSX. The thing that worries me about the spary is that it way waer off over tome and it is almost as expensive as the cover. They both distort the view at an angle.

Though my days in applied optics engineering are far behind, I think it's a hoax. Some cameras use IR flashes, others plain simple flashes. I don't see how any film or paint could render license tags unreadable.
I think it's a better idea to stop at red lights ...

Well, if it is real, then they need some ads that are more serious- The ads make the product seem like voodoo science, not real science.

I used that spray anout 5-6 years ago. It was a real PITA. You have to take of the liscence plate periodically as it wears off. It puts a layer of pebbley, trasnlucent crap that distorts the light when viewed at an angle. It's junk. Get that polorized platic piece if anything. You will get a ticket if caught with it though.

A polarized filter will be useless unless cameras are also equiped AND they are at 90 degrees of each other. In that case, the license plate would appear black, not white.

It's not really polarized. That was a vague description. The thing I was talking about has some kind of multiple, thin vertically alligned prism type texture applied to the plastic cover that does not allow viewing the plate from the side.

Something like the 3M filters for laptop screens which prevent your neighbours from peeking at your screen during flights ?
