No one will pay for your mods. The reality is that a modified porsche TT will bring in less than or equal to what a stock one would. Who wants a car someone else modified and that has no warranty? I don't want to rain on your parade, but 130k is dreaming, especially in Cali.

It's all about the "right" buyer. Let's just say I know from personal experience that my "right" buyer came along but I decided not to jump at the offer. Fred has more $$ in his car than mine but suffice it to say that he can get $130 if there is a "right" buyer out there for him. Good luck!

I think you can get $120k

I feel your paine. I test drove a Gallardo w/eGear a few weeks ago and almost cancelled my Porsche. I'll still get one but I'll have to wait until later this year to be able to swing both of them .... anyhooo a highly modified car is tougher to sell. Usually you don't get anywhere near what you "invested". I suggest taking out an ad in the Dupont Registry. Good luck!

You could probably get $130K if there is $20K stuffed in the glove box. Or otherwise trade it in and get the sales tax savings. There seems to be many Gallardo's out there. I am sure a dealer is willing to get one off floorplan. They don't seem to pull crazy numbers like 360's.

I found that most dealers can get you a gallardo allocation for summerat MSRP!! Nelson has a few on their showroom at MSRP and one orange one for which they want 5K over...

Fred,

Would it be feasible to mostly convert the car back to stock and then sell car and mods separately. That's probably the best way to proceed assuming labor is not going to be too high.

I don't think there is any way around paying taxes on a car in CA.

AW

Guys its all about the right buyer at the right time. I would either sell the mods serparatly or I think you will end up mid 120's with the right buyer.

I have a '01 with 17K miles, EVO stage 4 and other options/mods and I can't get 82K. The mods bring you nothing and when they find out you've been in the Gumball and Cort Wagner has drag raced it, they will all run away. You would be best to remove and sell what you can, convert to stock and sell at wholesale price. Thats what I'm going to do.

Keep it Fred - when you can buy the lambo do it only if you can keep the TT - you have put so much into that car and have it in numerous magazines -I.E. Shootout and Dupont Kimball ad's

How many porsche owners can say that? You would regret not having that TT you put so much time into - KEEP IT!!!! ohh did I mention KEEP IT ?
