Q for those whe race, has anyone tracked with 19" wheels?

for those participated in the shoot out, why did you switch to 18s? what's your REAL reason not european car's.

I've heard/read that is was relating to the fact that all the cars with 19s were the ones with the longest lap times.

Maybe it has something to do with the very low sidewall, additional unsprung weights with the moments of inertia being being farther away from the center of the wheel/axle.

Those are the only things I can think of

A DOT tire is most likely what the rules called for. Hoosiers are DOT approved, however they are only made in 18".

oh, so dot approved race tires were used, street tires. (sorry, i have only heard about the shoot out, haven't read the article yet)
