What sizes where the GT3 look wheels that came on the GT2/Turbo S? I may buy a set but before I do I wanted to make sure on the sizes.

 

I have set they are 8.5" and 12" x 18" the offsets are much different than the turbo, GT3 version. I think the fronts maybe the same but the offset and width are wider on the GT2 version. The version that came on the TurboS and the GT2 are different.

 

Oak: Are you saying the GT3 wheels on the Turbo/Turbo s are 18x8 and 18x11 and the GT3 wheels on the GT2 are 18x8.5 and 18x12? If so I need to make sure which ones I am considering since I am selling my GT2 size tires with my Work Wheels but have stock size Pirellis.

Actually I have the GT3's that were OEM when I got my turbo. They are 18X8.5 and 18X11.

 

Oak is correct!

GT2's with GT3 or Turbo II styles have:

• 18x8.5 fronts with 40mm offset
• 18x12 rears with 45mm offset

996TT's with GT3 or Turbo II styles have:

• 18x8 w/50mm offset
• 18x11 w/45mm offset

 

Sorry...how do you explain the ones I have that came from the factory with those sizes I already posted? 18X8.5 and 18X11?

You either need a new ruler

or

someone swapped out your lighter TT wheels with heavier GT2 wheels!

Easy to verify-

1. GT2 wheels are solid spoke not hollow
2. the inside of the wheels will be stamped with the width, diameter, offset and part number
3. if your measuring edge to edge, that is not the way Porsche measures their wheels. They measure inner bead to inner bead surface
4. the GT2 part number is 996.362.136.31 for the 8.5x18
5. the TT part numbers are 996.362.136.01 for solid spoke and 996.362.136.04 for hollow-8x18
