Thumbs up Protomotive is on a ROLL !

The turbos look devine.
This is what I will be having installed also,
along with a few other proven tricks.
Naysayers may question the following and I will see proof myself,
but here it goes:
last week a Protomotive Car on stock internals ran a 9.90 at 146 mph !!

makes a guy wonder what is possible ????? (full weight car!!)

2007 is going to be an interesting year my friends...

Jean: We will have driftbox, AX-22 and video camera for above mentioned
event. Expect some interesting numbers

Congrats John. See I told you once you tried them, you would want them. Now hurry up and put them on before the snow gets you

Are those the K24's from the guy on Ebay in Florida, or did you get them from Todd ?

the 18g side is slightly larger than the k16 side, correct? What's the benefit over k16/k24 Z/C turbos? A little more lag for more top end?

The 18g wheel is on the compressor side, and its bigger than the K24 wheel. The benefit is it pushes more air. This is the setup I have and can`t wait to install them!

You know it's this dam cold. k24/18g makes more sense. The 18g is sthe ame compressor wheel found on a turbo eclipse. Do they do anything to make the k24 spool any quicker? I mean the k24's too are very laggy stock. Good luck with your setup I can't wait to hear how it goes.

I just drove a GT2 last week. It had K 24`s and did not notice any lag at all.

"drjoe nice...now get some new quartermile numbers"

drjoe, That's the driving force behind this upgrade...

"Jean Great John! Congrats. It will be interesting to compare quartermile runs with the new setup."

Thanks - I agree. My ultimate goal is to break into the 10's, but I know that will be very difficult. For a start, I would just like to better my 11.51

I am doing a couple of other upgrades as well, in order to tweak things a bit. At this point, in addition to the base Protomotive 600 kit, I will have ported polished headers, Evo V-flo, Evo turbo inlet ducts/plenum, Blown6 intercoolers with high flow end tanks and 75mm throttle body w Y-diverter plenum. So I am cautiously optimistic about the potential of this set-up.

WOODTSTER The turbos look devine.

Thanks - part of the look is the billet wastegates. They are built with Kevins (UMW) billet wastegate kit. They really look the part

Bill, Thanks for offering to meet for the test drive - it was a great time. Yes, they are from the guy I was negotiating with when we met. You have a great car there!

"cpu77 the 18g side is slightly larger than the k16 side, correct? What's the benefit over k16/k24 Z/C turbos? A little more lag for more top end?"

As Mike mentined, when comparing to a K16/24, the K16 side is the 24 on the proto turbo and the 24 side of the 16/24 is the 18G. Both wheels are larger than the respective K16/24 hybrid. And yes, there is a little more lag. I am attempting to minimize the lag with the ported headers, V-flow, larger diameter hard turbo inlet ducts and high flow intercoolers. The throttle body is more for mid range and top end. This set-up should provide more midrange and top end than the 16/24 hybrids and pull stronger right to red line.

"esemes nice snails!! are the wheels clipped on them??

esemes, Not sure what you mean regarding "clipped"...

Thanks everyone for all the positive comments....
