There was a thread over on RennTeam about a European Porsche shopper that went to look at a Fayence yellow 996 of some sort.

There's now a rumor that for MY-2005, and beyond, some Exclusive Department options will be available. This is said to include paint-to-sample for "some" colors. I have a request in to see if Signal Yellow is among "some" colors.
The major hold up on paint-to-sample for the Carrera GT is that the carbon fiber panel supplier has to apply the finish before it is shipped to Leipzig. The factory at Leipzig is really a kit-assembler and doesn't do any heat, beat, or stink processes at all. Just wrench work. Sort of like building a kit car. Therefore, the CF panel supplier would have to become a bit more flexible in their processes as well as coordinate finish colors with the plastic bumper cap supplier. It just ain't Zuffenhausen, but they're working on it.
The thicker steering wheel option is a must for me, too. I have it on my TT cab and I can't go back. It makes driving the Signal Yellow coupe seem like I'm holding on to a hula hoop instead of a steering wheel
