Quote: Tom,

Im not concerned about what others are running with stock motors. The 3a kit is being advertised as a setup that does not need a motor build, nevertheless with 800hp a motor build should be required. Kevin from UMW himself is saying that 650 crank hp is in the red zone and 700hp is pushing it.

Basically this dyno sheet is not representative of what a 3a kit will be producing.

this is a sign of what will be comming in a 3b kit with a motor build. no one with 3a will have the tunning to run this kind of power, not from UWM that is.

these numbers were hit in a 3a kit that was thought to have had a motor build by RUF; as it turned out the car had stock internals, so the tuning was dialed back and the 3a was born.

people like KPG and myself that are doing the full motor/heads/trany build will get the 3b tunning that will be at least this power level, if not higher...time will tell.

By the way, 9000 rpm's ........... better use the three indes pump instead of the two index (GT3 pump) as you alluded in later posts.
I havent...but maybe Kevin has. I dont think the engine will be running that high, but I guess the crank is capable of those rpms... I am looking for a very safe margin on this motor, nothing more.kevin

Quote: This is what a three index pump looks like

The cost of a two index pump ........... about $800.00 and a little machine work. The cost of a three index pump ............ about $10,000.00 and alot of case/pump machining.
The 3index pump is only 10K? Phew, for a minute there I thought it might be expensive ...Kevin
