That's true... tell you what though... the sushi competition in LA is tough.

Seems to be more sushi places than Mexican sometimes...

not a native angelino

my parents moved out there 2.5 years ago and i've never spent more than 6 weeks continuously there. i'm a native baltimoron

Anyway i've been to Nobu in NY and go to Matsuhisa every Sunday when i'm out there. We are pretty friendly with Nobu himself actually. I have never spent much time in Malibu except to go to Joffrey's (sp?) on a few nice days. Anyway, no one is going to go up to Malibu from the airport to kill some time.

There are a million good restaurants in LA though, you can basically open up any Zagat or something and just pick one.
