That is the well known RUF Yellowbird. He drives like that all the time...

The video is from Nürburgring.

anyone know what track that is, it's looks gorgeous. And the driving really shows the difference in RWD vs the 996 TT--completely diff't animal. It sure seems like he is doing a lot of work at the wheel.

Like I wrote above, it's Nürburgring in Germany.
Going there over Eastern, can't wait! A lap easily takes 8-9 minutes to finish even in a fast car.

I have plenty of videos from there in RS4, M3 CSL etc.
No Porsche yet but I'm working on it.
I guess I'll have a lap with a 996TT and/or GT3 before the season is over.

http://www.racingflix.com had the CSL video a few weeks ago.

I have had that on vhs for at least 10 years. Once in awhile I get the urge and pop it in and watch it. Definitely in my top 2 Porsche's of all time.

Yes - a classic video - if watch Derek Bell's incar run video, you realize how incredibly fast this guy is going!

The amount of correction at insane speed is wonderful to watch. There's no replacement for fast hands!

I love this video for two reasons, the psycho is doing it without a helmet, suit, .... And secondly, because it shows how clearly smooth on the outside is rarely smooth on the inside. Too many new drivers think moving your hands smoothly and slowly is smooth driving ... no no no! Now, admittedly, he does get beyond 10/10 in quite a few places but that man is going way faster than I ever could or would. Damn fine driving.
