Unhappy Leak Oil Intercooler?? PLEASE HELP!!

Hi, I am some what new to the forum and I've searched for this problem but can’t find an answer.

My 996tt (2003) is leaking oil very little! From the passenger side, the oils seems to be very clear so I don’t know where is coming from is right under the bumper. I've also noticed that the gears will not engage until I completely let go the clutch (don’t know if the problems are related)

Does anyone have an idea of what it is? How hard is it to remove the plastic protectors from the bumper to see the leak?

Thank you for any reply.

JP

JP, where exactly on the car is the fluid leaking from? What exact color is the fluid, and does it have a smell?

The leak is right under the side front bumper infront of the passenger side front tire. It looks yellowish like brand new motor oil, it does not have a strong smell.. it seems like its coming from the small radiator located inside the bumper, or at least is what I think.. I will go downstairs and take a picture of the oil and the side where is coming out and post it here..

Coolant...Most likely the lower radiator hose, if it is indeed coolant.

Yeh, it is definately coolant, have seen a few of those hoses come loose. You are going to have to remove that wheel to gain access to it, then it should be right there and easily gotten to.

It's coolant

I had the exact same problem and it was a bad lower coolant hose, easy fix.

I am going to tackle the problem tonight!! thank you and will let everyone know how it goes. I think this started happening after I took it in to the dealer to get my front wheel drive repair, the axle snapped during a Dyno Run
