As I said in my post, this stuff is not an aromatic hydrocarbon booster like most that are on the market. Those cannot raise octane more than a few points, as you suggest. However, MMT and tetraethyl lead can significantly raise octane with relatively tiny amounts of product added to a base fuel.

This is exactly how C16 and other leaded race fuels achieve their octane numbers.

Glad you admit to cheating. We were supposed to start our last run at 60 (first one we started even and I pulled about 1 car by the time we had to shut down due to traffic). Hence I felt sorry for you, especially since you had been incessantly bleating like a sheep all night; "let me get the jump since your car has more hp/is lighter....baaaa". HA! And all the while you were hiding the fact that you had the race program installed. TREACHERY, I SAY! Paulie Walnuts clearly cannot be trusted!

So....on the second run you jumped at 50 and got at least 2.5 lengths. I didn't mind and went anyway because I figured I could reel you back in. Of course being the innocent and trusting soul that I am , I didn't expect that you had a race file installed and were on race gas. Had I known I would never have given you that much of a lead. Surprisingly, by 150 when we shut down I only closed 1.5 lengths.

According to Steven Kaspar a stage 3.5 (stage 4 without headers) with a race file should dyno about 540 at the wheels. That is about right since your car is very comaparable (up tp about 120, then you will pull) to Akrams s/charger Vette at 560.

Knowing you are at 540, believe me, next time I will be serious and not let you get such a huge jump. And we start from 60 as agreed, you decietful little man, you.

Rob,

You had a GT 700....did you have a stage 4 before?

Did it really dyno at 570? I am assuming that was on the race file, yes?

Call me about the dallas trip.

Will there be strippers involved? If so, I might go.

Rob,
You are confusing wheel and crank HP. You car was also on 91 and the stage IV race is only for 100 octane. Apples and oranges here.
