well that's why I modded my car!! And believe me I dont have that problem at the track.
But you cant argue a TT Stock is no straight up match for the new Z06 it is just the truth.

Christian the Vettes performance is still real and I deal with it everytime I am at the track.
I must admit that well sorted TT runs about equal to the new vette both drivers the same.

^I don't deny that the Vette is quick, I don't see what the big deal is about it being quicker than a 911TT, it should be, 7.0L compared to a 3.6L, that's my only gripe, I could really careless

I didn't buy a 996 TT because I thought it was the fastest car on the market. I bought it because chicks dig it. Can the same be said for a Chevy?

While I do not necessarily disagree with your conclusion, your POV is a common derrogatory stereotype of Porsche owners. The "your car might be faster, but mine gets me laid" defense lacks substance and does not play well to most car enthusists.

Thanks for posting I hadn't seen it.

The Z06 is definitely a fire*******. Porsche could have given us 8,000 RPM and I would have been much happier. As it stands that 7 liter pushrod V8 revs to 7,000 RPM stock.

I was surprised that it was a 997TT. But why wouldn't the Z06 be faster? Same torque, same HP, no turbos (to lag), 400 lb less weight...

I agree Porsche needs to start whipping the engineers.. We WANT 8000 RPM. If Nissan could do it with the skyline a decade ago....

One thing is for sure, nobody wants the last model corvette. Yet all iterations of the turbo are desirable and hold their value.
